We have a chance for you to be involved in new projects starting in implementation phase and/or in upcoming prospects based on experience and motivations. The potential missions cover Earth Observation and Science Exploration missions for ESA.
The job is a challenging and exciting mix of systems engineering including Hardware (sensors and actuators) know-how, control engineering, project management and subcontract management.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
- Review and approve AOCS/GNC design and analysis activities through the full engineering lifecycle from initial concept design through to support to validation, producing the associated documentation (e.g. design justifications, software requirements for AOCS/GNC algorithms, performance analysis documentation).
- Contribute to the optimisation of the overall system by capturing the needs of other sub-systems and proposing the adequate AOCS/GNC-level solutions for the other disciplines
- Define and manage the AOCS/GNC System Requirements and Assumptions,
- Interface with customer, systems engineering team, project management and subcontractors
- Define risks and risk mitigation strategies
- Support the selection of the AOCS/GNC sensors & actuators suppliers
- Control budget, schedule and quality of AOCS/GNC deliverables
ABOUT YOU
- Educated to Engineering degree level (or equivalent) in space engineering,
- Qualifications with dynamics and control engineering content
- Proven AOCS/GNC development experience within the Space industry
- Experiences in Mathematical modelling, Matlab and Simulink, Computer simulations are highly desirable
