Job Description Qualifications:

The 787 Airplane Level Integration Team (ALIT) has an opportunity for an APM (Airplane Project Manager) to support the 787 Program in North Charleston, South Carolina.

An APM has responsibility for multiple Airplane Line Numbers, and ensures all Certification Change activity is closed out in time to support on time AC-E (Aircraft Certification Eligibility), for each of their assigned Line Numbers. Their final deliverable is the ACPL (Airplane Change Project List) and MMSR (Major Minor Summary Report) that is provided to the Regulatory Admin group as part of the AC-E package.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all Change is accurately accounted for in AC-E packages
  • Identify issues, and work with IPT’s, Reg Admin, DAE's, Change Coordinators and Cert Plan Owners on any issues/open actions.
  • Track and ensure all Cert Plan activity will close in time to support AC-E
  • Participate in technical meetings to discuss issues of risk for Certification.
  • Ensure all changes that are major are mapped to a Cert Plan
  • Submit ACPL and MMSR to Reg Ad min to support on time Certification and Delivery of Airplanes
  • Provide Risk Assessments to potential line moves
  • Produce reports that show status of the upcoming airplanes’ Certification development
  • Support Adhoc requests for Certification data

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston, South Carolina.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Associate’s degree or higher
  • Proficient utilizing Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective communication, organization and team-oriented skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with tools such as ENOVIA, DCCS (Design Change Classification System), LCS (Lean Certification System)
  • Knowledge of the Boeing Common Change Process
  • 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate (Level 2):   Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).

Experienced (Level 3):     Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range for Associate (Level 2): $67,500 – $82,500

Summary pay range for Experienced (Level 3): $83,700 - $102,300
