Airbus UpNext - HMI Development Leader (m/f)

Job Description:

The new Airbus UpNext demonstrator will pave the way to smart automations capabilities by integration of new innovative bricks including computer vision and data fusion. The goal is to help the pilot and facilitate the mission. 

This position comes with a CDI-C contract for 3 years, the timeline of the demonstrator.

Your missions

To complete our dynamic team, brought together to develop new aircraft control functionalities, we are looking for a lead HMI developer with at least 4 years of experience in these professions, to develop new interfaces on tablet and Ipad.

Passionate and impatient about testing hypotheses and bringing learning into the business based on concrete demonstrations, you must be able to create the bridge between User Interface specification with hardware/software reality. 

As a lead developer, you will be:

  • Participating in the definition of a dev plan and a schedule 

  • Developing Aircraft Cockpit User Interface on IOS language devices and Tablet

  • Integrating your front end development into the back end of devices

  • Involved in the integration of products developed into avionics systems

  • A part in autonomous Agile teams

  • Capitalizing via documentation the framework and dev material

  • Mentoring a junior developer

What you bring

  • In-depth knowledge of development best practices, coding standards, and C/C++

  • Ability to easily manipulate different IHM related libraries

  • Capability to solve major complex problems and propose innovative solutions will be your major assets

  • Experience developing mobile applications 

  • Negotiation level in English is required with excellent overall communications skills

  • Passionate about exploring new areas, working on equations and quickly implementing innovative ideas and concepts

  • Critical thinker that takes on big challenges to create innovative solutions. You are an enterprising person, flexible and capable of adapting to changing environments

  • Able to self-manage and yet be a team-player

  • Impatient with a burning desire to execute rapidly, without compromising neither safety nor ethics nor compliance

  • You have and share the values of transparency, courage, humility, empathy and care for others

  • Hands-on person, solution oriented and communicative
