The successful applicant will join a team responsible for performing store separation analyses for internally and externally carried weapons, pods, self defensive aids; all of them carried out in a complex interdisciplinary engineering environment for different weapon systems and in collaboration with specialists of other international partners involved.

Your tasks and responsibilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

- Store release and jettison dataset build-up, definition of store properties and related constraints;

- Simulation and assessment of store separation and support to clearance recommendation;

- Reporting and support to certification activities;

- Geometry definition, grid generation for and execution of CFD analyses;

- Support to wind tunnel measuring campaigns and analysis of wind tunnel measurements;

- Post-processing and set-up of SR&J aerodynamic datasets;

- Preparation and support of ground and flight test activities which may necessitate domestic and international travelling.

Desired skills and qualifications

- Completed Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or similar field of study;

- Experience/Knowledge in aerodynamics, loads and flight mechanics;

- Programming experience, preferably in Fortran and Python as well as familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems;

- Fluent in English and German

- Integrity and confidence to speak up;

- Evident ability to learn and grow fast;

- Willingness to travel;

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, disposition to work in groups;

- Good analytical capabilities, assertive and stress resilient.
