At the Strategy, Facilities, and Investment department within Engineering, we ensure our test facilities are sustainable and functional. Our diverse team of 10 brings extensive knowledge and varied backgrounds, creating a strong, collaborative environment.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our facilities. You will work closely with dedicated teams, gaining insights and experience in a dynamic environment. Your contributions will directly influence the work environment and operational success of our engineering teams.
What you'll do

As a Facility Manager at Volvo Cars, you will maintain and enhance our engineering facilities, including pilot plants, logistics, workshops, and test labs. You will manage facility processes, support engineering plans, investigate facility issues, and liaise with lab and workshop operations. Acting as an advisor, you will support ongoing changes and develop facilities to improve the work environment. You will update layouts, manage site-related issues, plan maintenance, place orders, follow up and collaborate with various teams. Additionally, you will drive the adoption and utilization of digital tools for simulating facility layouts.

What you'll bring

We believe you have a background in facility management or project management within the facility domain, with experience using visualization programs to simulate scenarios. It's good if you have a MSc or BSc in a relevant field, or an engineering degree with several years of experience. You excel in tactical work, driving issues to completion, and creating presentations to drive decisions. You facilitate and guide operations effectively, promote cooperation, and have a keen interest in collecting requests and communicating to help and drive others.Let's introduce ourselves
