Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is seeking an experienced Test Equipment Production Manager to join our team in El Segundo, CA. This role will manage the Production of System Level Special Test Equipment (STE) for the Satellite Factory in El Segundo.  This leader is responsible for the daily management and leadership of our skilled technician and test equipment production team.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead employees performing the kitting, production, manufacturing, assembly, and support of Specialized Satellite Test Equipment
  • Develop and execute integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, roadmaps, goals, and objectives
  • Acquire resources for department activities, provides daily management and scheduling of teammates in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, represented workforce leaders, peers, engineering management and direct reports
  • Manage, develop and motivate employees, including represented teammates
  • Develop a culture wherein Safety and Quality concerns are actively identified, assessed and actively managed as one element in the conduct of daily business
  • Partner with Design Engineering to perform First Article Inspections & Functional checkout of products
  • Support preventative maintenance, incorporation of engineering change requests & inventory management
  • Daily management of labs and inventory for test equipment production.  Lead 5S and audit activities in the labs

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science    
  • 1+ years of experience leading teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
  • Experience working with collective bargaining agreements and an hourly union-represented workforce
  • Experience leading asset management and tracking activities
  • Experience with procurement, fabrication, kitting, assembly, and integration

Summary pay range: $138,550 – $187,450
