As System Architect, you will work within our Global Product Organisation, working on the global product development platform on innovative mechatronic driver assistance systems for autonomous vehicles, with focus on multiple radar generation, particularly Gen 7 and in the future Gen 8. In this role you will also have the opportunity to working on multiple customer projects with some of the worlds best known OEMS including a new "turnkey" project portfolio.
Please note, this is a full time in-office position based in our Wuppertal Technical Centre.
Your role:
- You work in the global product development platform on innovative mechatronic driver assistance systems for autonomous vehicles
- You support all product development tasks with your broad technical knowledge
- You develop, define and document the system architecture of radar systems in collaboration with hardware and software developers
- You define and select the essential system architecture components
- You define the interfaces and the interaction of the system components, including the interfaces between hardware and software
- You define your developed technical solutions as requirements and coordinate the with our internal experts
- In all tasks, you work in a creative, multinational and interdisciplinary working environment
Your background:
- University degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science, physics or similar
- You have at least 3-4 years of automotive industry experience
- Experience in the development of electrical control units or in system development in the automotive environment
- Good knowledge in the field of driver assistance systems (radar technology in particular)
- You have in-depth knowledge in the development of system architectures
- Very good knowledge in the field of hardware and software
- Experience with hardware / software interfaces and communication protocols
- Experience with SysML or UML tools (e.g. Enterprise Architect), JIRA and Polarion
- Very good knowledge of Automotive SPICE and experience in the development of control units taking functional safety aspects into account (ISO 26262)
- Very good DFMEA knowledge
- You are fluent in German and English business fluent (at least at C1 level)
- You are willing to travel and you have a valid class B driving license
