Student Intern, Intelligent Connected Vehicle- V2X

Job Description

Responsibilities:

-The objective of this position is to enrich the performance of route planning module to support a sensor sharing based speed optimization module in a V2X wireless communication application. 

-The candidate is responsible for researching and developing optimized models, and design the experiments for idea validation and conduct experimental data using the instrumented vehicles and simulators.

-Proof and analyze the feasible and usefulness of modeling in decision making / planning module of autonomous driving vehicles within simulation platform and field of test.  

-Research on environment assessment, real traffic world modeling and virtualization including static environment and dynamic driving scenarios, driver behavior, traffic pattern etc.

Requirements:

- Master or Phd candidate in Computer Science, Physics, Math or other area of technical specialization

- Knowledge in V2X communication and Edge Computing technologies

- Strong software development skills in C/C++ / Python under Linux environments with a proven ability to deliver high-quality software

- Keen software skills, proven ability to develop project goals and plans

- Develop requirements, performance evaluation metrics and conduct performance benchmarking

- Experience in prototyping algorithms, implement and test on vehicles and simulators

- Desire and ability to bust through the barriers while executing project team plans and independently run research projects

- Can work on-site at least 4 days per week for 4 months
