Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Poland is currently seeking for a Structures & Payload Design Engineer, based out of Gdansk, Poland. This position will be supporting Boeing Global Services (BGS).

You will join the Boeing Global Services Modifications Team as a multi-skilled Design Engineer – Cabin Interiors to develop, integrate and document interior payload system requirements to establish the system design of large aircraft modifications. You will demonstrate compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and customer requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Technical Lead within local engineering team in order to support implementation of identified requirements and associated solutions for active projects

  • Implement engineering design solutions for modifications to a certain set of Commodities within one functional group

  • Develop modification documentation in support of 7X7 Boeing Aircraft Retrofit programs

  • Produce substantiation documents, Design Checks, Design reports, Root Cause analysis

  • Be able to mentor new engineers under defined Job training program

  • Perform crosscheck of design documents inside of design team

  • Attend internal meetings. Work closely with other functional groups within the company, create engineering solutions that exceeds customer expectations on time and within budget

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed location. During the first 90 days (probation period) 100% onsite presence is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • Solid communicator, fluent in both written and verbal English

  • Good overall knowledge of Aircraft documentation and structure 

  • Proficiency in PDM (Product Data Manager), Enovia, Catia v5/v6 or NX, 3DX, AutoCAD, Adobe Products, Microsoft Office Products

  • Ability to perform deep dive analysis

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • 2+ years engineering work experience

  • Willingness to travel (c.a. 5% of the time) to visit trainings and workshops

  • Knowledge of materials and technology used in Aircraft interior design

Typical Education:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master).
