Job Details

Perform mold tear down and cleaning, visual inspection of molds and components, as well as scheduled preventive maintenance, and reports findings to the tool engineer.
Clean, lubricate, spray with rust preventative and make minor repairs or replacement of component parts for proper and continuous operation and upkeep of tooling.
Responsible for returning tools to their assigned rack location.
Develop and maintain adequate inventory levels of needed component replacement parts with the assistance of tool engineering.
Maintain tool breakdown area in a clean and orderly fashion.
Perform mold insert changes and assist in the development of changeover instruction documentation.
Interface with tool engineering and mold repair shops on a technical level.
Assist Tool Engineering with the training of tooling-related procedures and instructions.
Assist Tool Engineering with all new mold testing and process development as well as tool capability studies.
Maintain molds with electroforms and all molds with A1 finish.
Perform minor mold repair and perform mold polishing to restore A1 finish when applicable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

High School or G.E.D. & 5 years experience with injection mold, maintenance, repair, and changeover, or other tooling/ mechanical experience in an industrial setting.
