Imagine the mobility of tomorrow

Picture yourself in an exciting industry where the future revolves around leading-edge electrified and self-driving cars seamlessly integrated into people's daily lives. But how can we create this future in a way that is both safe and sustainable? This is just one of the inspiring questions we're working to solve here at Volvo Cars. Join us and watch your ideas shape the future of mobility.

What you'll do

Complete HIL performs system- and integration-testing for distributed vehicle and user functions, system performance testing and ADAS scenario testing on complete system level. The test environment consists of the electrical system of the vehicle, including all relevant ECUs, and actuators as well as environment and traffic simulations and sensor data emulations.

Testing is performed both manually and automated and the tester need to have a good knowledge in automotive systems as well as SW testing methodology and coding knowledge.

For ADAS testing, being able to evaluate the performance of the vehicle and SW and creating traffic simulation scenarios is part of the responsibility.

As a test engineer, your primary responsibility is to create test cases and carry out testing on the product.

- Analyze test need based on requirements test analysis and test description.
- Creating test specifications based on test description and requirement analysis.
- Perform manual testing.
- Perform fault tracing related to domain in collaboration with HIL dev teams and delivering ARTs.
- Support developing ART in integration testing, correction and fault tracing.
- Write and follow up fault reports on issues found in the rigs.
- Write test reports and present test results.
- Continuously work with improvements on tests, methods and tools.
- Create and run automated testcases based on test specifications.
- Maintain testcases and ensure regression tests are always up to date.
- Actively learning and gaining knowledge within domain and complete HIL.
