Your Role

As a Software Test Engineer – Middleware, you will:

  • Dream up and bring to life, Smart Vehicle Architect with focus on Middleware.
  • Craft and maintain cutting-edge Test software for Smart Vehicle Platforms
  • Monitor system performance and tackle any challenges that arise.
  • Test the software components that set new standards for Middleware layer for
  • Work with a team of A-players to ensure project success.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by keeping up with the latest technologies and industry trends.

Your Background

    Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
    • 3+ years of software development experience using C++
    • experience with script languages like Python
    • experience with Vector Tools CANalyzer/CANoe- knowledge of Ethernet & CAN communication
    • experience with test frameworks like google test, robot framework etc.
    • experience in defining test infrastrastructure/methods (what and how to test)
    • Develop test strategies and plans for software development projects, outlining testing objectives, methodologies, and resource requirements to ensure comprehensive validation and verification of software deliverables.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test scope, requirements, and success criteria, aligning testing activities with project timelines and milestones
    • Execute test cases and procedures to validate and verify software functionality, performance, and reliability, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory specifications.
    • Analyze test results and findings, identifying defects, anomalies, and areas for improvement, and provide recommendations for corrective actions and process enhancements.
    • Create and maintain testing documentation, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports, documenting testing activities, results, and outcomes for traceability, auditability, and knowledge transfer purposes.
    • Investigate and troubleshoot software issues, defects, and failures reported during testing activities, utilizing debugging tools, techniques, and methodologies to identify root causes and propose effective solutions.
    • Conduct risk assessments and impact analyses to identify potential risks, vulnerabilities, and threats to software quality, reliability, and performance, and develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize adverse effects.
    • Manage testing activities and deliverables within software development projects, including resource allocation, task scheduling, progress tracking, and milestone reporting, to ensure timely and successful completion of testing objectives.
    • Coordinate with project managers, team leads, and stakeholders to define project requirements, priorities, and dependencies, and proactively address any issues or obstacles that may impact project timelines or deliverables.
