Position Overview
Autodesk is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Water Lifecycle teams in the Europe. You will work on our InfoDrainage product, used to help civil engineers to design and analyse drainage systems.
We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about designing and developing high quality software solutions using hybrid cloud / desktop applications.
As a software engineer you will have a significant impact on how we design, build, and deliver our products. You will work with the Engineering Manager, as part of a cross-functional team focused on building and maintaining InfoDrainage. Be part of team that is passionate about bringing first class drainage software to the world.
The teams work in a Hybrid working model from our offices in Krakow, Poland.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain C# desktop application.
- Focus on quality, including writing unit/integration tests and refactoring when appropriate.
- Follow security best practices and quickly resolve security issues.
- Break apart complex initiatives into manageable chunks.
- Work closely with development teams to drive towards a common vision.
Minimum Qualifications
- First or upper-second class degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 8+ years commercial programming experience
- Proficiency in C# programming language and .NET framework including .Net Core
- Knowledge of user-interface development based on WinForms
- Experience in working in large code base, including enhancing and resolving issues in pre-existing code.
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Solid English knowledge and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent knowledge of .NET/C#.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Scrum and agile development processes and methodologies
- Project & Collaboration Management Systems (JIRA, Confluence Wiki)
- Experience with serverless cloud-native applications (preferably AWS)
- Experience in Typescript (preferred), JavaScript, Node.js
