Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Product Manager to join the team in either Seattle, WA; Hazelwood, MO; North Charleston, SC or Mesa, AZ. 

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager with a robust background in managing cross-enterprise capabilities and a deep understanding of COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) products, automation, configuration, and workflow design. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our enterprise employee experience, unlocking productivity in all aspects of our business processes via Generative AI (GenAI) driven virtual assistant capabilities, impacting areas such as end-user help desk, Human Resources (HR), and Finance. The successful candidate will be a change champion and lead this enterprise journey from requirements gathering, through vendor selection and use case development, to the full-scale implementation of our virtual assistant GenAI capabilities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and articulate the needs and goals for our virtual assistant GenAI capabilities

  • Lead the process of evaluating multiple bidders, ensuring the chosen vendor aligns with our strategic objectives and offers the best combination of performance, support, and cost-effectiveness

  • Understand the nuances of integrating off-the-shelf and custom systems using technologies like Application Programming Interface (APIs), WebHooks, authentication, and authorization

  • Define the product vision and strategy for integrating GenAI capabilities into our operations

  • Develop and maintain a detailed product roadmap

  • Work closely with stakeholders in end-user help desk, HR, Finance, and other areas to design and develop impactful use cases for the virtual assistant

  • Oversee the implementation of virtual assistant GenAI capabilities at the enterprise level, ensuring seamless integration and adoption across all functions

  • Establish metrics to assess the effectiveness of the virtual assistant capabilities

  • Monitor performance and drive enhancements to maximize value

  • Act as the primary liaison between technical teams, business units, and external vendors

  • Ensure clear communication and alignment on goals, timelines, and expectations

  • Create and champion communication plans, internally market capabilities and success stories

  • Lead and create communities to drive disruptive innovation in all aspects of our employee processes

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience as a product owner and/or product manager in agile development

  • 10+ years of experience assessing security architecture and capabilities of SaaS and COTs products

  • 5+ years of experience in leading large, multidisciplinary teams on large-scale technology development programs

  • 3+ years of experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) software development

  • 3+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership

  • Experience with projects/programs involving culture change, change management, process analysis and improvement, and strategy

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience

  • Experience with Generative AI

  • Experience with end-to-end product development to production process

Typical Education & Experience:

Typically, 15 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range: $151,300 – $218,500
