Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking is seeking a Senior MQ-25 Fuselage Structural Design Engineer in Saint Louis, MO.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops, integrates and documents structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.

  • Develops, maintains and modifies structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Assists with teams performing, integration and analysis of tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

  • Manages supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals for future Lot aircraft.

  • Assists with investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements and platform variants.

  • Supports current production design change and improvement activities through early aircraft development.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

  • 9+ years of work related experience with a Bachelor’s OR 7+ years with a Masters OR 4+ years with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Design modeling specific experience 3+ years

  • Knowledge/experience of modeling tools including NX and Teamcenter

  • Understanding of design best practices

  • Understanding of material, design, and build process specifications

  • Production build support experience

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

Summary pay range: $113,050 - $152,950
