Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant supports Lithia’s captive lender Driveway Finance Corporation (DFC) and ensures that all transactions are accounted for in accordance with GAAP..  The Senior Accountant processes month-end close including the review of reconciliations and month-end balances and research of financial statement variances, along with supporting monthly reporting obligations to lenders and investors.

The Senior Accountant reports to the Senior Accounting Manager.

Location: Medford, OR (Hybrid)

Compensation Range: $63,000 - $85,000

Responsibilities

  • Financial Accounting
    • Perform and review recurring monthly accounting activities, including reconciliations, journal entries and administration of other corporate accounting duties for the DFC, ensuring that all transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP.
    • Analyze financial statement accounts and document results during the month-end close process.
    • Research and understand other accounting issues and topics as necessary.
  • DFC Accounting
    • Perform and review recurring monthly accounting activities, including reconciliations, journal entries and administration of the Company’s loan portfolio.
    • Analyze balance sheet accounts and document results during the month-end close process.
    • Calculate, analyze, and create recording entries for DFC loss reserve.
    • Create and analyze reconciliations, reporting, and communication of monthly servicing reports for lender and Asset Backed Securities (ABS) investors
    • Assist in preparation for ABS transactions including data testing, report creation, and creating relationships
  • Collaboration and Mentorship
    • Proactively address accounting issues in coordination with stakeholders.
    • Provide an example to other members of the DFC Accounting team, providing training and guidance as requested by your supervisors.
