Valeo Light is the world leader in automotive lighting. From the latest innovations in interior and exterior lighting to cutting-edge wiper technologies, the Light Division offers innovative, stylish visibility systems that improve safety and driving comfort.

Valeo's Bobigny site is the Light Division's headquarters and employees 520 people in innovation, R&D and laboratory testing of lighting systems (headlamps, rear lamps, interior lighting, etc.).

The site is looking for an HSE Manager M/F.

Your challenges : 

Reporting to the Head of site, your main responsibilities will include

  • Steering continuous improvement in collaboration with general services

  • Monitoring incidents and accidents on the site using QRQC and PDCA/FTA tools

  • Carrying out audits

  • Ensuring and checking that safety tools and standards are appropriate, known, understood, applied and implemented by management

  • Limiting environmental impact

  • Assess and reduce HSE risks, and implement the necessary action plans to prevent occupational illnesses

  • Ensure the safety of employees, facilities and products

  • Communicate internally (operators, managers, staff representatives) and externally (authorities, inspectors, neighbours, other companies, etc.) on HSE issues

  • Develop managers' safety skills using Safety first, Risk Hunting, PFMEA, Safety Talks and Safety Briefing tools, so that they are certified and autonomous in safety matters

  • Train people to respond to emergencies and unexpected situations

  • Improve site safety, in compliance with local regulations and Group directives

What about you :

Trained as an engineer, you will have at least 5 years' experience in a similar position in the industrial sector or in a laboratory.

You must have experience of auditing and strict safety.

Recognised for your leadership in safety and prevention, you have good communication skills.

Your English is fluent.
