Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality for all our products and processes. You will be responsible for planning and conducting activities concerned with the quality control and quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, ISO 9001, Statistical Analysis, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Quality Auditing, ISO-9001, AS9100, Capa, and NCR.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production of advanced composite materials and applications, consistent with established standards, customer specifications, and production goals.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of quality control inspectors.
  • Establish and implement metrics for monitoring system effectiveness, enabling managers to make sound product quality decisions.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and other problem-solving activities to identify effective corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Review and analyze quality performance against standards and provide reports to management.
  • Maintain active role on internal continuous improvement teams.
  • Establish collection and analysis systems of statistical data to predict trends that will affect the improvement of product quality.
  • Analyze customers' product specifications to establish efficient, cost-effective requirements for ease of manufacture and reproducibility.
  • Develop quality planning methods for all product lines.
  • Monitor vendor performance and establish criteria and rating system for critical vendors.
  • Review all purchased products or components and provide input to the decision of whether to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor.
  • Conduct audits, create audit finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer, Quality Auditor, or a similar role in the Manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Control, Quality Assurance, ISO 9001, Statistical Analysis, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Quality Auditing, ISO-9001, AS9100, Capa, and NCR.
  • Excellent technical skills, including proficiency in interpreting complex technical specifications and drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis software.
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) certifications will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to travel as necessary.
  • Strong statistical analysis skills.
  • Experience in process improvement techniques and methodologies.
