WHAT TO EXPECT
The Advanced Programme Strategy Paint team are responsible for the early development of the paint manufacturing strategy for new model programmes. This includes supporting the decision-making process for key factors of the industrial strategy as well as defining manufacturing solutions and setting capex budgets. The work done in these early phases of vehicle programmes creates the basis from which paint programme delivery teams will develop and launch our new products into volume production.
As the process engineer you will work on strategy-phase Paint programme with a focus on delivering the long and mid-term platform and architecture strategy. You’ll also work on studies for strategic proposals outside of specific vehicle programmes. You’ll have the opportunity to grow by being self-driven, proactive and creative.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Work on vehicle programmes within the strategy phase to determine paint manufacturing strategies
- Ensure compliance with strategy-phase programme gateway deliverables
- Provide robust, comprehensive handover of programmes to paint programme delivery teams following completion of the strategy phase
- Investigate and report on strategic proposals and studies
- Support innovation projects
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Knowledge of automotive paint shop processes and associated facilities
- Working knowledge of CAD
- Awareness of IATF16949 requirements for compliance
- Skilled in use of Microsoft Office tools
