Porsche Classic Intern, Parts & Business

Tasks

Start Date: Late February to early March 2025 for a continuous six-month duration in Atlanta.

 

Position overview

Strong supporting role for the Classic Parts, Classic Partner, and Classic brand businesses. Tasks include overseeing the day-to-day execution of the Vehicle Documentation program, facilitating Classic Partner reporting, and managing KPIs for the parts business. This position also aids in the development of new and current Classic Partners, including management of the Partner Part Display program. Finally, this role fulfills the liaison activities with counterparts at the global headquarters in Germany.

 

Roles & responsibilities

 

Primary responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate print, ship, and vendors responsible for the information and production of all Vehicle Documentation products
  • Research vehicle information requests by acquiring and processing information through internal and external sources
  • Develop product displays and promotions for internal events and Classic Partners
  • Generate and analyze interim reporting for parts sales, training, and other business management ad-hoc requests
  • Conduct and distribute necessary reporting for all Partner program aspects
  • Support Department’s Monthly KPI submission
  • Support Porsche Classic Parts Analyst in analysis of inventory data to achieve optimal inventory and sales opportunities.
  • Research and develop strategic merchandising plans and objectives for Porsche Classic. 
  • Conduct Field and Dealer Training as required
  • Coordinate development and publication of catalogs, brochures, and other collateral material with AfterSales, PCNA Marketing and Porsche AG as necessary to ensure consistency of messaging.
  • Support the development and management of the Porsche Classic’s presence in the Porsche One Shop
  • Engage, secure feedback and respond to Porsche Center enquiries related to the Porsche Classic Partner Centers and Porsche owners.
  • Interact with Porsche Classic Global to maximize utilization of global sharing of curriculum and best practices
  • Act as liaison with Porsche Classic Global Sales & Marketing (VIT & VIC)
  • Ensure proper retention of electronic documents, business confidential information, and actively demonstrates an understanding of the need to safeguard competitive information in both electronic and non-electronic format
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and assess how to manage the communication flow accordingly.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education:

  • Active enrollment in or graduated with a Bachelors’ degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering or Technical Automotive School degree preferred, or equivalent education and experience

 

Experience:

  • Strong Porsche Model knowledge
  • Porsche Parts Experience preferred
  • Multi-tasking capability
  • Ability to complement and contribute to a multi-functional team of subject matter experts and collaboratively gather resources to identify best practices
  • Advanced experience with standard MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, Access, etc.).
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills desired. Strong financial acumen helpful
  • Excellent Automotive Parts and processes knowledge
  • Dealership parts business knowledge preferred, especially Porsche Centers

 

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • German language skills preferred
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects
  • Highly organized, target oriented mindset, works well without close supervisor
  • Ability to set and meet challenging deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Porsche electronic parts catalog use preferred
  • Ability to work and make decisions independently
  • Ability to travel domestically for up to 1 week at a time.

Physical requirements

  • This job operates in an automotive shop and office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, cameras, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This position may have daily work in the automotive shop.   While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, sit, stand, move, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.  The employee must occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment
