WHAT TO EXPECT

 

This role will involve supporting development of our Paint strategy for materials, process, and technology.  This role will be a key research and development function, engaging with industry experts to ensure we are making sound decisions for our business with a key focus on Sustainability, but also supporting the other key deliverables within Continuity, Modern Luxury, SVO and Competitiveness. As part of this, frequent travel will be required between JLR sites, as well as occasional travel abroad to meet with suppliers and bench markers to see new factories and projects, and to work towards the best means of adapting these processes and techniques into the business.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the Development of new Technologies to support our Paint Vision and Strategy meeting all our key performance indicators.

  • Carry out benchmarking tasks that position JLR at the front of Modern Luxury and Sustainability.

  • Lead & partake in multifunctional New Equipment Procurement Teams through all project phases ensuring company procurement procedures are met & adhered to. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

You will need to have previous technological experience working within a paint related automotive industry setting, as well as a proven track record of delivering projects, ideally related to paint or exterior finishes.

 

  • Knowledge of sustainability principles and an understanding of the environmental impacts of engineering solutions.

  • Ability to control & Manage suppliers (both Material & Equipment) and project budgets.

  • Experience of delivering both operational and strategic transactional and Facilities Project solutions across an array of engineering sites, buildings and customer types.

  • Experience within Manufacturing Facilities development across a variety of industries and geographies.

  • Experience in Industrial Painting Operations and Paint Processes.
