We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Consulting Mechanical Engineer to join our fast-paced Engineering team. This role will play a pivotal part in the development and design of new products, leveraging machine tools and CAD software. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in mechanical engineering, with a particular focus on new product development.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design, develop, and optimize new and existing products.
2. Utilize CAD software to create 2D and 3D models of mechanical systems.
3. Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs.
4. Develop specifications for manufactured products, including drawings, bill of materials, and assembly instructions.
5. Use machine tools to build prototypes and test their functionality, safety, and reliability.
6. Provide technical advice and guidance to clients, team members, and stakeholders.
7. Conduct research to inform the design and production processes.
8. Ensure all products and systems comply with regulatory industry standards.
9. Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
10. Continuously monitor and adapt to industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a mechanical engineering role, with a focus on new product development.
3. Proficiency in CAD software and machine tools.
4. Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and best practices.
5. Demonstrated experience in project management, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a knack for identifying and resolving design and production challenges.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
8. Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a high degree of organization and efficiency.
