Manufacturing Engineering Propulsion Components at Volvo Cars prepares and implements quality assured flexible and effective production systems in our plants globally. You are part of a group working close to all our elements within the chain of developing- construction- manufacturing and containing process.

MEPC Commodity are owner of product, method and process over time, by developing, defining and preparing each system during the whole life cycle. This means we are responsible for verification of assembly solutions, both virtual and physical, and we will always strive for commonality within all our plants.
What you'll do

We are seeking Global Commodity Manufacturing Engineers to join our newly established launch teams for EDU/Inverter and HV Battery. These positions require travel to our plants during industrialization and launch phases. As a Global CME, you will:

Contribute to FMEA and risk assessment activities.
Be responsible for product and method verification.
Ensure manufacturing requirements are met.
Provide R&D feedback through your Central CME colleagues.
Drive the VPC process within your area.
Implement product changes in relevant plants.
Master product and process to manage product changes and their consequences effectively.
What you'll bring

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of 6 Sigma and Lean Production.
Proficient in using Teamcenter software.
Experience in production processes and product development, preferably in the automotive industry.
Geometrical knowledge and experience in automation assembly are advantageous.
