Manager, Product and Brand Internal Communications

Work Arrangement

This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren. Michigan three times per week, at minimum.

The Role

This individual will lead the internal communications strategy, crafting messaging, and driving employee engagement through compelling storytelling for GM’s brands and products, including Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, and GMC. Serving as a key partner to the product and brand communications teams, this person plays an integral role supporting strategic efforts for the product and brand communications teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, and GMC internal communications strategy to educate, build advocacy and drive employee engagement.

  • Lead internal communications plans for product reveal, launches, product/technology news, business updates and other storytelling and employee engagement opportunities.

  • Manage planning, content development and writing for Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, and GMC on internal channels such as Socrates, Sharefluence and Viva Engage.

  • Support the Internal Communications team in amplifying additional news and finding opportunities for unique storytelling to engage the employee audience.

  • Counsel, think strategically and deliver high-impact results for employee audiences.

  • Support key executives in leveraging internal channels, such as Viva Engage, to communicate effectively with employees and foster meaningful engagement.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • 5+ years communications experience

  • Strategic, creative thinker and storyteller

  • Strong understanding of how people consume information.

  • Exceptional writing, presentation, and organizational skills

  • Ability to build strong relationships across multiple functions and with key business partners.

  • Foster collaboration: flexibility and ability to manage through ambiguity.

  • Ability to manage priorities and multitask.

  • Business and brand acumen

  • Reputation/issues management; problem solving.

  • Bachelor's degree – Communications, Journalism, General Business or Related Field

  • Ability to travel 10% of the time within the United States.
