Tasks

Roles & responsibilities

  • Responsibility for the accounting and the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting of PCNA, PLS and PCL
  • Active participation in the monthly close meetings with the CFO
  • Supervise and manage a team of accountants and contractors
  • Establish strategic and department level goals for department and direct reports
  • Provides guidance and support to direct reports by planning, monitoring, coaching, developing, recognizing and assessing individuals
  • Ensure the implementation of new accounting policies and procedures
  • Implement, maintain and improve internal controls over financial reporting for PCNA
  • Main contact person for the auditors of the financial statements on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Provide support and technical accounting maintenance for procure to pay system (Zycus)
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Provide details to the treasury department for cash flow forecasts
  • Various US Government reports (annually, monthly or quarterly)
  • Balance sheet projections (3 times a year)
  • Supervise the analyses and maintenance of various general ledger and subsidiary accounts and records
  • Respond to frequent parent company questions and requests for additional analyses in a timely and professional manner
  • Work with the Shared Services organization on issue resolution

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or equivalent required. Advanced degree and/or CPA preferred

 

Experience:

  • 8-10 years of experience in full cycle accounting
  • Must have experience with month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Experience leading an accounting department

 

Skills:

  • Detail oriented analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task and critically review work completed by other team members
  • Solid understanding of advanced accounting principles, financial management tools and concepts
  • Strong communication and presentation skills – both written and verbal
  • Ability to interact with of all levels of the organization in a team environment
  • Demonstrated leadership and self-direction
  • Demonstrated willingness to both teach others and learn new techniques
  • Experience translating analysis results into business recommendations
  • Strong computer skills, especially MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • SAP FI/CO experience highly desirable

 

Percentage of required travel: up to 2-3 times per year (as needed)

Schedule/Shift: This is position is based in Atlanta, GA and is hybrid with a couple of days a week in office and for month-end close.

 

Physical requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds.
  • Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.

The salary range for this role is $135,000-$155,000. However, it is important to note that at Porsche, compensation range is dependent on geographic location. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skillset. Porsche reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness.
