What you will be doing:
Lotus’ UK Creative Centre (UKCC) is Automotive Design and R&D division of Lotus Technology Innovative Limited (LTIL).
We are looking for a management Accountant to join our RD finance team in a multinational high class automotive OEM/design studio/commercial section and assist the Head of RD Finance in all aspects of their work providing internal / external PROEJCT finance control reporting and contributing to the attainment of data integrity and accuracy.
This role supports the head on the financial accounting/ budget controlling work of the project finance team and has a particular focus on all aspects of project account reconciliation support for book keeping and Due Diligence Inspection and External Audit, plus consolidating the reports in to a single consolidated report for reporting duties through investigating reconciliation & management of intercompany activities . Management Project Finance Report on monthly basis for internal stakeholders is also part of the job.
The Senior Financial Accountant is expected to:
- Consolidate financial accounts across the legal entities in the group by considering GAAP/IFRS/FRS differences in different jurisdictional regions.
- Take on monthly accounting & reporting in areas of rolling forecast vs actuals and spending vs budget for live projects at UKCC.
- Attending project proposal drafting and commercial negotiations with customers from finance side.
- Work with the financial accounting colleagues in broader finance team at LTIL headquarter to maintain accurate accounting and reportingon SAP system for UKCC.
- Support UKCC profit & loss nominal accounts insight via analytical review
- Support UKCC balance sheet accounts control via reconciliation management.
- Support year-end external auditing and reporting activities in relation to UKCC
- Support management and control of SAGE Intacct/ SAP and other suitable financial systems for reporting purposes.
- Support and liaise with various business units within the group in the accurate production of budget control and intercompany transactions reports.
- Take on duties of accurate production of project finance report.
- Reconcile accounts including receivable and payable.
- Ensure cashflow is wisely looked after and utilized properly and protect reserves.
- Audit financial information for inconsistencies
- Create financial forecasts and analyse risk.
- Take on other reasonable duties as agreed with your line manager.
What we will need from you:
- Financial /management accountant experiences in corporate commercial environment, better in automotive industry, but not necessary
- You will be qualified from a professional accountancy qualificationACA,CIMA or ACCA
- Track records of skills and experience of core procedures & processes within a finance function.
- Must be able to process, prepare and reconcile full management accounts.
- Must be experienced with budget setting, monitoring and reporting as well as rolling forecasts.
- Must be experienced with auditing for internal and external audits and inspections.
- High level Excel skills, tine management skills and be motivated and flexible to change.
- Ability to work well in a team and fast-paced multinational environment.
- An effective team member, productive with minimal supervision
