Maintenance Shift Planning Engineer

GRADE C, JLR Nitra

Salary:  From 2200 eur monthly, 0-15% yearly bonus, other benefits according JLR rules

 

OPPORTUNITY

Undertake management of the day to day workload planning for the Maintenance Technicians allocated to supporting the Jig and Tool and Maintenance Workshop, Local Stores and PM Planning Team. Drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout the team. Provide leadership

and line management to the team, coordinating and overseeing their workloads, providing support to ensure that the team delivers, monitoring any issues, and ensuring targets, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and quality standards are met. Develop the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards, whilst fostering a culture of working safely. 

Manage the creation and allocation of PM/CM activities with the Maintenance SAP System. Monitor PM performance and OPR issues and adjusting the system to ensure KPI’s are achieved. 

Ordering spare Parts and managing SAP Shopping carts for external spares or parts. Review all Maintenance spend to ensure ‘Value for Money’ and make procurement recommendations to save money. This roll will involve managing R&M data, FRACUS and interfacing with Suppliers on Warranty issues

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

· To manage the preventive Maintenance CMMS system (SAP)

· Generate plan and prepare work instructions that provide direction to the Maintenance Department for corrective maintenance repairs, preventive maintenance performance, and predictive maintenance. Make procurement recommendations for all materials needed for work package execution

· Identify and implement cost down opportunities to save revenue spend

· Create and Manage the R & M system, including Warranty Management (FRACAS)

· Arrange Technician Work Schedules via SAP PM

· Coordinate on-site and out-side contractors for ordinary work orders.

· Ensure effective utilization and integrity of the computerized maintenance management system (SAP PM), including maintenance plans, equipment structure updates, reporting and modifications as needed to meet established goals and objectives. Minimize unscheduled downtime and ensure the majority of maintenance is planned work

· Analyse spend on assets and develop improvements to reduce spend and improve MTTR/MTBF

· Challenge supplier prices and seek cost effective alternatives

·  Develop Department documentation and manage processes

· Create and manage Shopping Cart in SAP SRM for training, service agreements, repairs, technical supports, freight, etc.

· Support the upkeep of the Maintenance technical Library

· Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental in accordance with legislation and company policies

· Manage internal (inhouse) and external refurbishment process for Repairable spares, as well as Warranty claims and Insurance accident claims.

· Actively support the planning effort for annual shutdown to include; job planning, job coordination, resource planning and financial management.

· Work with the area Operations and Maintenance staff to implement effective strategic maintenance initiatives that support achievement of reliability goals, objectives, key performance metrics, and maintenance cost objectives.

· Develop, revise and review maintenance procedures to facilitate and enhance work package development, and maintain compliance with standards as well as vendor recommendation and maintenance direction.

· Verify that work instructions are adequate and comply with all applicable station procedures. Approve and review all required work packages to ensure safety, quality and technical feasibility.

· Conduct field audits to identify and analyze safety, preventive and corrective maintenance activities as well as to provide input for refining and improving work package quality. Interface and collaborate with Engineering, Supply, Maintenance to identify and resolve work package issues. · Manage the Workload and HR Issues relating to the of the Maintenance Planners and Storeman

· Manage the local Maintenance Stores

 

CANDIDATE

Essential:

Completion of college diploma or Apprenticeship in: Mechatronics / Electrical / Software Engineering, ideally in in an Manufacturing Technical Field with a preference to enjoy managing data

Broad knowledge of CMMS Systems

Flexibility in working patterns and approaches to achieve overall business goals

Excellence in developing processes for Managing Maintenance systems

In depth knowledge of Safety and Environmental standards to be able to create risk assessments for industrial automation equipment

A very Good knowledge of Google & MS Office Applications. (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and Project) Strong people management and leadership skill Pro-active strength of debugging and resolving key constraints, effective problem solving & root cause analysis using adequate toolsets Knowledge of IESA Process (MYMRO)

Develop strong effective working relationships with key customers, supplier companies and adjacent departments

Raise and Manage Orders and small Projects

Desirable:

possess knowledge and proven skills in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen,
