We are seeking a seasoned Maintenance Mechanic with a strong background in the engineering industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in manufacturing, mechanical knowledge, and equipment maintenance. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and opportunities for career advancement. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be an essential part of our team, playing a vital role in ensuring our production operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate.
2. Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
3. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
4. Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
5. Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity.
6. Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
7. Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
8. Analyze test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
9. Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.
10. Collaborate with other professionals in solving complex problems related to manufacturing processes and equipment.
Qualifications:
1. At least 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in the engineering industry.
2. Proven experience in manufacturing, mechanical knowledge, and equipment maintenance.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment.
4. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and operation manuals.
5. Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve complex mechanical problems.
6. Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, precision measuring tools, and testing equipment.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
9. High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in mechanical repair is a plus.
10. Certification in industrial maintenance or a related field is preferred.
11. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment or machinery.
