Salary:  From 2800 eur monthly, 0-15% yearly bonus, other benefits according JLR rules

 

OPPORTUNITY

Paint Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for introduction of new facilities, materials, product lines, new programs and current vehicle freshening programs into the Paintshops. 

Paint Facility Engineer is responsible for introduction of new facilities, products programmes , equipments, materials and headcount required for processes through all JLR Paint Shops. To cooperate with other departments on the development of new facilities, new vehicle progremmes and current vehicle freshening programmes. 

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities



•    Responsibility for design and development of manufacturing facilities, processes in the paint shop, delivering needed equipment and tools to the process for new projects in the paint shop. 

•    Managing and dealing with contractors

•    Process optimization, designing solutions and dealing with problem situations. 

•    Leading groups participating in streamlining norm hours in processes. 

•    Supervising and constant upgrade in quality management involving ISO norms and company standards. 

•    Use of lean manufacturing concepts in manufacturing processes..

•    Cooperation with colleagues and associates in the company`s structure ( quality, maintenance, process, 

manufacture) regarding fulfilling objectives and using demanded procedures. 

•    Communication with product design department to ensure optimized design for manufacture. 

•    Using project management techniques for development, plan control, costs, risks and changes. 

•    Using tools such as FMEA, CP, process capability, technical capability and reliability, maintenance planning

•    Cooperation with project team throughout the whole process. 

•    Manage Product Buy offs and hand over to customer department . 

•    Manage, maintain and develop all Health, Safety and Operational Risk Management processes and site specific processes and systems at the area. 

•    Complete feasibility and cost evaluations for proposed new or modified facilities and processes define robust delivery plans with minimised disruption to operations.

•    Assess feasibility of new facilities and processes, development and management of projects for cost, quality and timing.



Knowledge, Skills and Experience 

•    Work experience 5 years and more 

•    Minimum HND Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing / Production Engineering. 

•    Previous Project Management / Engineering experience within Paint Operations. / 

•    Knowledge of Paint Robot installation projects a benefit. 

•    Knowledge of Pre-treatment & E/Coat installation projects a benefit. 

•    Highly computer literate with an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office package including 'project'. 

•    Good working knowledge of all JLR paint facilities & systems. 

•    Good working knowledge of HSE & CDM regulations. 

•    Ability to control & Manage suppliers (both Material & Equipment) 

•    Ability to control & manage project cost decks. 

•    Have previous experience of Supplier selection and tender management. 

•    Have a working knowledge of the application of lean manufacturing tools and techniques. 

•    Have the ability to work unsupervised (at times) to a set of objectives & targets. 

•    Must be flexible with regard to working hours as role may require after hours. 

•    Must be willing to travel, for extended business trips.
