WHAT TO EXPECT
Join our Accessory Engineering team as a Lead Engineer for our new vehicle programmes!
You will act as a Project engineer working with Subject Matter Experts, responsible for a diverse group of accessories within the Exteriors. Commodity groups range from Exterior Trim, Roof Carrying, Functional Accessories, Exterior Protection and many more, new up-and-coming features.
You’ll be part of a team shaping the future of our products and features across the JLR vehicle range.
Key accountabilities & responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for understanding the initial requirements for a programme and then developing this into robust technical assumptions or solutions, eventually leading to the development and delivery of the commodities.
Further duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Generate Commodity Plans and manage suppliers
• End-to-end project management and delivery
• Liaise with Programme and Design teams in the initial development stages to develop concepts and take them through to launch
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Essential:
• Degree in Engineering or comparable qualification.
• Knowledge of Digi-Buck / Vis-Mock-up / 3DLive or other CAD Visualisation systems
• Good communication and presentation skills at all levels
• Experience in component/system delivery and development of Body and Trim systems.
• Knowledge of PCDS and CCDS or other Automotive Product Development Systems and Processes
