IT Business Analyst

The role of the IT Business Analyst – Manufacturing Engineering is to understand and analyze IT business requirements in the area of Manufacturing/Logistics/Quality processes. In addition, the IT Business Analyst will occasionally manage projects targeted at the delivery of new IT functionality or services for the Manufacturing/Logistics/Quality processes. In the IT organization the IT Analyst will use his/her functional expertise and knowledge of IT technologies,  and liaise with IT business partners (internal clients) to suggest the best possible approach for IT solutions, to provide inputs for risk and capacity management, to understand the business strategies of the functions they manage, to align the strategic direction for global applications and technology platforms with business partner strategies and capabilities, and to understand the business functional roadmap to identify how IT will enable and support the strategies to bring business value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand its needs and document it in the form of structured requirements.

  • Periodically manage and coordinate new requests for IT services and applications using IT portfolio management tool in accordance with Aptiv IT PMO process: beginning with analysis and assessment of the demand, and concluding with project onboarding.

  • Support delivery of IT solutions by: facilitating the discussion, explaining business process and needs, providing feedback to the IT design, designing future support model.

  • Manage the delivery of IT solutions and small IT projects by developing project plans, overseeing supplier performance, and managing project risks and issues.

  • Identify required IT spend in support of Manufacturing/Logistics/Quality processes and contribute to the development of IT forecast and budget proposal.

  • Address business demand by initiating Service Requests and linking the right IT partner with the requestor.

  • Collaborate with IT Architecture and Supply Chain to find technological solutions for the business.

  • Together with IT Operations, drive improvement initiatives to minimize risk of business continuity and increase the quality of service.

  • Support resolution of critical incidents.

  • Data analysis and reporting to support decision making.

  • Promptly report to IT leadership potential IT risks in support of Manufacturing/Logistics/Quality processes and propose potential mitigation.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in similar position

  • B.S. Engineering, Computer Science, or Technology

  • English level B2 or higher

  • Domain knowledge in one of the following areas: Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics

  • Excellent problem solving skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to details

  • High-level of personal leadership

  • Results orientation

  • Basic understanding of Cyber Security topics in the area of: data encryption/decryption, managing master/public/private key.

  • ITIL Service Management Certification

  • PMP certification
