The Business Development Intern role is an exciting opportunity for aspiring sales and business leaders to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment. As a key member of our team, you’ll support our MidMarket sales business while learning foundational sales skills that will serve as the building blocks for your future career in tech sales.
This internship offers the unique chance to gain exposure to both the strategic and operational aspects of business development at a leading tech company, and to make a direct impact by contributing to meaningful projects and by helping execute our go-to-market strategy.
Sales Internship Details:
- Weeks 1-3: Sales Foundations Training
- Weeks 4-8: Shadowing and Systems Knowledge
- Weeks 9-12: Live Customer Calls and Intern Project
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with your Auto-Mentor throughout the internship program to learn the Autodesk sales methodology, understand industry/customer challenges and value drivers, and engage with current and prospective Autodesk customers
- Research, prospect, and qualify potential customers through outbound efforts such as calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach
- Track and update account activity using CRM tools such as Salesforce, and other sales enablement software like Outreach.io and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Transition qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales representative while gaining insight into the sales process and building industry knowledge
- Support the creation and execution of targeted campaigns and initiatives that help drive revenue and meet sales goals
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in a full-time, degree seeking program with an expected graduation date of December 2025 or later
- Construction Management or Professional Selling program strongly preferred
- A mix of previous internship, relevant school project, volunteer, and leadership experience
- Excellent research, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset and a passion for learning
- An interest in tech sales and business development

About the US Intern Program
The 2025 U.S. program runs for 12 weeks (May 19 – August 8 or June 16 – September 5). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development. Our internships align with Autodesk’s Flexible Workplace approach, which is designed to meet the needs of our business while providing flexibility in support of office, remote and hybrid work preferences.

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience, educational level, and geographic location, and can exceed this range.
For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting annualized intern base salary to be between:
- $47,840 and $95,680 (undergraduate students)
- $72,800 and $118,500 (Masters/MBA students)
- $118,560 and $162,240 (PhD students)
