INTERN - Advertising

Course of Study

Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Marketing or Advertising or MBA with a concentration in Advertising

 

Term

  • 1 year in length [37.5 hours per week during the summer; ~20-25 hours per week during school year]
  • Internship to begin end of May and end the following May
  • Location – Subaru Headquarters in Camden, NJ
  • $19 an hour (undergrad)

 

Qualifications

  • Junior (or a Senior planning to pursue a Master’s Degree in the fall)
  • Must be an active student for the entire length of internship
  • Curriculum and/or work experience portray a dedication to the pursuit of a marketing career
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record

 

Skills

  • Strong written communications, presentation, and customer-service skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to seamlessly navigate online search engines, social platforms, and understanding of digital advertising

 

Responsibilities

  • Conducting on- and off-line research to inform content in National and Dealer Advertising
  • Assist and support creative concept development, advertising production, strategic planning, and media planning 
  • Assist and support the planning, production, implementation, and tracking of National and Dealer TV, Digital and Social, Print, and Radio advertising creative executions
  • Assist and support the planning, production, implementation, and tracking of added value, branded entertainment programs, brand extension campaigns, and diversity advertising and marketing efforts
  • Support professionals and managers in any areas related to the above and will often be required to manage projects independently while regularly interacting with partner agencies
  • Will also be called upon to assist with the coordination of integrated marketing campaigns which involve and support other teams and departments throughout Subaru

 

Summary

This position will provide experience and exposure to the Marketing Communications Group at Subaru specifically in the area of Advertising, Production, and Media.  You will have exposure to daily departmental operations by supporting projects, participating in planning and executing meetings, and occasionally managing projects for various other Marketing Groups.
