Insurance Customer Service Representative

The Insurance Customer Service Representative will be serve as the customer point-of-contact for all questions and needs concerning the policyholder's insurance.

The Insurance Customer Service Representative reports to the Agency Manager.

Location: Fontana, CA (On-site)

Compensation Range: $18/hr - $20/hr

This position is a performance driven position, eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives as part of total compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting growth and retention goals by adhering to the agency’s established customer service strategy
  • Greeting customers and taking telephone, email or in-person inquiries
  • Ensuring that customer requests, inquiries and concerns are resolved efficiently and effectively
  • Contacting customers regarding billing issues, policy questions and changes
  • Contacting customers to set up insurance reviews
  • Collecting and recording premium payments
  • Keeping notes of customer conversations and policy changes in eAgent or by using the notes function in Household View or your agencies Allstate approved CRM tool
  • Assisting the agency manager and Licensed Sales Producers in all types of administrative tasks
  • Raising any customer service issues to appropriate stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to provide courteous, knowledgeable, and professional customer service both in person and on the telephone.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Sense of urgency
  • Excellent communication
  • PC skills including knowledge and use of MS Office (Excel, Word, Windows, etc.)
