This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to their designated location (either Warren or Austin) three times per week, at minimum.
The Role
We are seeking a HashiCorp Vault Support Specialist to join our team in a highly complex enterprise environment. This role will support HashiCorp Vault, which is integral to various business areas and critical applications.
The focus of this position is not merely on responsive support; instead, it will involve developing integration strategies with other tools, providing expert consultative direction to application teams, and maintaining a comprehensive product roadmap. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of application cryptography and extensive knowledge of PKI tools, technologies, and challenges within large enterprises.

What You’ll Do:

Document and maintain architecture diagrams, system configurations, playbooks, and operations guides.

Assist in developing the product roadmap and implementing lifecycle enhancements.

Collaborate with the broader Identity and Access Management (IAM) team to communicate the HashiCorp strategy and its impact on other tools or applications.

Work closely with product vendors, attending periodic meetings to discuss issues, questions, and challenges.

Install, configure, troubleshoot, and support new Vault implementations, assisting application teams with adoption and migration.

Support the PKI team with various implementation, support, integration activities, and strategic planning.

Collaborate with team members and GM Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on cryptographic best practices and standards, including developing a Post-Quantum resiliency plan and roadmap.

Conduct yearly product assessments, comparing tool capabilities against market-leading competitive tools, and make strategic recommendations to leadership.
Additional Job Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent working knowledge and experience.

HashiCorp Certified or equivalent expert knowledge.

Proficient in implementing, installing, configuring, and supporting HashiCorp Vault.

Familiarity with other secrets and key management platforms, including Akeyless, Azure Key Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, and BeyondTrust.

Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas, issues, and strategies to senior-level leadership.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

Experience using multiple key management systems.

Strong PKI background.

Experience defining best practice standards and security policies.
