Job Description Qualifications:

Come join Boeing's Commercial Derivative Airplane program in San Antonio and get the unique opportunity to work on a next generation Proprietary Program. This position will become part of the Commercial Derivative Airplane Planning team in San Antonio, TX.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides shipside Manufacturing Engineering support to Mechanics and other support functions on the VC25B program, including providing engineering clarification for mechanics and authoring work instructions for Non-Conformances.

  • Refines, validates, coordinates and implements conceptual designs and manages the program architecture for build.

  • Develops manufacturing plans and oversees plan optimization.

  • Conducts complex producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.

  • Resolves complex technical problems.

  • Serves as a project manager to ensure that contract requirements, specifications, design criteria and schedule performance are integrated and maintained.

  • Leads advanced design solutions and supports research of new product or business opportunities.

  • Deploys company Lean Enterprise analysis methods.

  • Documents and communicates producibility best practices.

  • Provides guidance to others through structured mentoring.

  • May be required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays, to support business needs and deadlines.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 5+ years’ experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

  • 5+ years’ experience applying professional/technical writing skills, teaming successfully to solve technical issues.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only is strongly preferred

  • Microsoft Office Suite Skills.

  • Experience with CATIA.

  • Experience with IVT.

  • Experience with GoldEsp.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range: $90,100 - $121,900
