Position Overview

We’re looking for an experienced candidate to join our team and play a central role in reinventing how we approach launches and events with a focus on lifestyle and product media. Context: The position of Experiential Strategy Spokesperson for Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA) is part of the Public Relations Lifestyle & Experiential Strategy Team and is responsible for the planning and organization of all media-focused programs. Events are scalable, including but not limited to: product launches, auto shows, tech workshops, heritage events, content-focused projects, internal meetings, partnership collaborations and Porsche Experience Center events - all in pursuit of interacting positively with target audiences through traditional and non-traditional coverage.
The position requires a candidate with significant events experience (minimum five years) who possesses superior organizational skills, attention to detail and strong decision-making ability. The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, multiskilled, consistent and able to work independently with little or no supervision. The ability to interact with all levels of management while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is equally important. This role is at the core of the team – representing a unique opportunity to gain experience and contribute to largescale projects.
The position reports to the Manager, Lifestyle Communications and Experiential Strategy but works closely with all members of the PCNA Public Relations Team with the goal to maintain positive brand image and provide opportunity for creative content. The PCNA Public Relations Team is responsible for product, brand, business, technology, motorsport, brand heritage, crisis communications and general media relations across all genres.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee all project direction and components from conception phase to final execution; this includes executive approval, invoice tracking, logistics, production, branding, staffing, vendor management, timing, post-event analysis and final reconciliation. Events are specifically targeted to media and content creators, meant to influence customer opinion while positively promoting the brand – specifically on social, online, or traditional platforms.
- Work with the full PR Team to define a communications plan per project that specifies objectives, activities, values, metrics, priorities, and timelines. Ideate and create experiences that intentionally engage core and new audiences with the brand.
- Execute the global strategy into a regional PR strategy and coordinate closely with communications colleagues at central Porsche PR office in Germany. Liaise with various local and global internal departments, external vendors, and hosted guests to coordinate event logistics.
- Manage short term and long-term calendars for PR-driven projects and collaborate with other internal departments to develop consistent strategies accordingly.
- Manage overall tracking system for projects and ensure timely, easy access and proper document retention per audit trail guidelines. Create presentations, reports, and documents using the appropriate research. Ensure compliance with IT protocols, including proper retention of electronic documents, business confidential information, and competitive information in both electronic and non-electronic formats.
- Assist the Manager, Lifestyle Communication and Experiential Strategy by coordinating day-to-day department meetings as well as long-term projects and activities. Assume other responsibilities, tasks and assignments as deemed necessary by the Manager, Lifestyle Communication and Experiential Strategy and/or Vice President, Public Relations.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree is required from an accredited university – desirable is a degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Business or Public Relations (or an associated field).
- A minimum of eight (8) years’ experience managing events in a corporate or agency environment.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience with budget planning, finance processes and procurement policies
- Able to prioritize all activities based on value-add to the organization and internal metrics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Social Media platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills - flexible, energetic, collaborative, detail-oriented, and highly motivated. Strong team player who enjoys working in a multi-cultural and lean environment and has capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Self-starter and very strong multi-tasker who enjoys handling multiple assignments and deadlines. Experience seeking out appropriate resources when necessary while utilizing them efficiently and intelligently.
- Experience coordinating arrangements for senior management and high-level stakeholder events. Ability to maintain a very high-level of confidentiality.
- Holds expert level verbal communication, written communication, and presentation skills. Excellent research, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ethical in all dealings. Understands the importance of integrity and compliance.
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally, and work evenings and weekends as necessary.
Preferred qualifications include:
- MBA, Event Management certification and/or CMP certification are desirable but not required.
- Proficiency in a foreign language, particularly German, is desirable but not required.
- Work experience with an automotive manufacturer, ideally in the premium/ luxury segment.
