Electronic Hardware Development Project Engineer - (Lead or Senior)

Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is seeking an Electronic Hardware Development Project Engineer to join the Space Electronics One Boeing & New Business team located in El Segundo, California. You will lead design teams in developing innovation solutions for avionics products across multiple domains.
This position utilizes experience leading multi-skilled engineering teams through space-flight design projects, programmatic processes, and development of solutions to challenging problems.
Position Responsibilities:

Provides the Engineering leadership to a team representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and customers

Develops statement of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirements

Develops new and follow on concepts that will expand product or services lines. Anticipates change and organizes processes and resources to proactively respond

Identifies performance metrics and ensures that work and project breakdown structure (WBS/PBS), schedule and resource loading is completed by the team

Develops and communicates responsibility authority accountability (RAA) to define team members' roles and responsibilities

Develops, maintains and distributes team organization chart as needed

Leads project execution to complete the work statement

Identifies performance metrics

Plans, identifies and coordinates resources required over the life of the project or program. Incorporates lessons learned into strategic process improvements

Prepares and presents outcomes, assessments and corrective action initiatives to Boeing management
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

5+ years of experience managing projects and utilizing standard project management tools
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience leading teams developing electronics units/products for Aerospace or Aeronautic applications

Experience managing earned value for commercial and/or government contracts

Experience managing production of electronics units/products for Aerospace or Aeronautic applications

Experience managing suppliers producing electronics units/products for Aerospace or Aeronautic applications
Typical Education & Experience:
Lead (Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Senior (Level 5): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range Lead: $ 122,400 – $ 165,600
Summary pay range Senior: $ 150,450 – $ 205,550
