Director, Product Management – Regionalization, Certifications and Trust
Position Overview
Are you passionate about assessing product-market fit for, and launching products that are ready to succeed in international markets or for specialized ones such as the government or defense departments? Do you sweat the details of understanding and prioritizing specialized security and certification requirements and working cross-functionally across product teams to address them?
If so, and you have demonstrated experience developing and executing a plan for supporting cloud standards such as FedRAMP, C5 and IRAP, then this role would be perfect for you!
The Autodesk AECO (Architecture, Engineering, Construction & Operations) division is responsible for a variety of cloud and desktop offerings such as AutoCAD, Revit, Construction Cloud, which are acknowledged to be global market leaders in enabling the sharing of data and fostering of collaboration across the entire AECO value chain.
You will be driving the company’s product strategy and roadmap priorities as it relates to FedRAMP, regionalization, certifications, etc. in serving the AECO industry. The person will impact the priorities of multiple organizations and product teams (e.g., Platform, Trust, Construction Solutions, Building Design). This person doesn’t directly have a corresponding engineering team; they operate through influence across many product teams, each with their respective cloud services.
In this highly visible role, you will work with teammates across the globe and will travel up to 30% of the time for face-to-face meetings like conferences, team offsites, and customers.
Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with Product Management, Sales, Engineering and other stakeholders to develop certification strategies and plans, ensuring their alignment to business and product imperatives

In-depth knowledge of a few regulatory regimes and standards (e.g. FedRAMP authorization processes, regional encryption requirements) and be able to translate them into requirements for product teams by being an evangelist and bridge to the market

Understand complex technical security architectures (including cloud architecture) and apply that to certification and compliance projects as needed

Effectively communicate with all stakeholders, from engineering to executive leadership

Develop a solid understanding of our product lines to speak fluently with consultants, certification agencies, and more to achieve certifications

Define and publish roadmaps aligning to business goals, while providing product thought leadership and engagement with early adopters for quantifiable impact

Partner with cross-functional product development leads to define and scale a global operating model and framework to ensure success on new certifications or market entries

Partner with Marketing and Sales to develop detailed enablement plans and messaging for markets, in the role of SME
Minimum Qualifications

15+ years of relevant experience including 5+ years of experience in product management leadership positions, including creating and driving product roadmaps from conception to launch

3-5 years of FedRAMP (or other similar framework) risk assessments and remediation management experience preferred

At least 3 years experience with a non-US standard e.g. C5, IRAP preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Hands-on style and approach with strong interest and demonstrable aptitude in technology products

Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal partners and customers as an SME in cloud regulatory regimes

Understand the challenges of working in a distributed environment with multiple teams working on different priorities and helping AECO leadership prioritize opportunities

Curious, positive, “can-do” and transparent attitude is very critical for success

Strong ability to work with minimum supervision

Strong ability to distill nebulous goals into actionable requirements and product plans

Assertive yet open, thoughtful, respectful, and easy to work with

BS degree (or equivalent technical degree or equivalent military experience) required

CISA, CRISC, CISSP or other similar security certifications desired

Experience managing product or program management teams very helpful

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent practical experience

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $176,800 and $286,000. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
