We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Design Engineer to join our high-performing team. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to work with a team of dedicated professionals in the engineering industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving our products and systems. You will be working closely with our cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, sales, and marketing, to create effective and efficient solutions that meet our clients' needs. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Create and develop design concepts using AutoCAD, and transform them into workable and functional products.
2. Prepare and produce comprehensive electrical schematic designs and circuit diagrams.
3. Conduct regular design reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure the quality of the designs.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project objectives, gather automation requirements, and design systems and products that meet those needs.
5. Develop and implement design strategies and plans according to project specifications.
6. Perform detailed calculations to establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
7. Inspect installations and observe operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications, and safety standards.
8. Use computer-assisted engineering software (AutoCAD) to perform engineering tasks.
9. Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
10. Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in technology and industry trends to ensure designs are innovative and competitive.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering design software.
4. Strong knowledge of electrical schematic design and circuits.
5. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
6. Exceptional communication and team-working skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
8. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and design.
9. Ability to present technical information in a clear and understandable manner.
10. Flexible and adaptable, able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
11. Knowledge of industry, engineering, math, and materials principles and methods.
