Our company, a leading player in the manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced Permanent Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled individual to apply their expertise in solidworks, mechanical design, product design, Unigraphics NX, BOM, estimating, and mechanical engineering. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Design Engineer, you will be integral to our product development process. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Designing and developing new products from concept to production, using tools such as SolidWorks and Unigraphics NX.
2. Creating and maintaining BOMs (Bill of Materials) for new and existing products.
3. Conducting cost estimates for new product designs and modifications.
4. Applying mechanical engineering principles to design, analyze, and troubleshoot products and systems.
5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure design requirements are met and to resolve any design issues.
6. Participating in design reviews and providing technical input to meet project objectives.
7. Developing and implementing design strategies to improve product performance, quality, and manufacturability.
8. Ensuring all designs comply with applicable industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Permanent Design Engineer position, you should have the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, product design, and manufacturing.
3. Proficiency in SolidWorks, Unigraphics NX, and other relevant design software.
4. Solid understanding of BOM creation and management.
5. Experience in cost estimating for product design and manufacturing.
6. Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
10. Proven track record of designing and launching successful products in the manufacturing industry.
