Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and design new tools and equipment to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing processes.
2. Analyze and interpret design specifications, drawings, and technical data to create and optimize manufacturing processes.
3. Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure accuracy and consistency in product design and manufacturing.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop solutions that meet these needs.
5. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to manufacturing teams to resolve production issues.
6. Conduct regular assessments of existing equipment and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
7. Create detailed drafting documents for manufacturing processes and equipment designs.
8. Train and mentor junior engineers and other team members, sharing your expertise and promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
9. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in tool design and manufacturing engineering.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience in Tool Design, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and Drafting.
4. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality standards.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
6. Proficient in using CAD software and other engineering tools and systems.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with clients and colleagues at all levels.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
9. A proactive approach to work, with the ability to anticipate problems and develop effective solutions.
