Cyber Security Engineer

We are currently looking for an IT Cyber Security operations expert, whose main mission will be to architect, design, monitor and response in the technology environment to detect, analyze, track and mitigate internal and external threats that could impact system validation IS/IT technologies

Main tasks & activities:

  • Lead Data, Information, IT and Network Security topics for System Validation Toolchain (Center of Excellence) - esp. Valeo internal Data Platform ecosystem

  • Performing Cyber Security risk assessments for SysVal business needs, projects and activities

  • Providing CyberSecurity support to the R&D activities, production activities and supplier activities in conformity with R&D and IS standards

  • Building and maintaining SecDevOps process and CI/CD toolchain supporting Agile platform development - dependencies, vulnerability scanning, compliance

  • Lead Security engineering Ops to maintain security for system validation environments

  • Create and drive proactive monitoring and reporting for IT Infrastructure resources (compute nodes, data storage, special HW testing tools, public clouds integration, firewalls) and overall OS and system health, patching, compliance, and other performance metrics

  • Manage vulnerability detection, remediation and incident handling across System Validation resources

  • Taking preventive measures and implementing automated tools to prevent Data Leakage, unauthorized access, etc.

  • Support CyberSec managed tools and enforcement of global security controls

  • Maintain the day to day Cybersec operations of configuration management platforms including application deployment and settings distribution

  • Work as the escalation point between various teams for CyberSec related activities, manage on call schedule and incident escalations

  • Diagnose and investigate unique and complex IT Security incidents & problems

  • Creation of cyber security documentation on Security operations

  • Enforcement of the IT security standards and rules​

  • Providing trainings of Cyber Security to R&D teams and management

Your profile:

  • At least 5 years experience in the field of Cyber Security and Security Operations

  • At least Bachelor's degree in IS/IT or Cyber security field

  • Knowledge of ISO 2700x, ISO-21434, UNECE WP29 and TISAX

  • Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal

  • 3+ years' managing Network Security or equivalent

  • 3+ years' experience with Incident Management and Forensics

  • 3+ years' experience with IPS/IDS, AV, and Anti-Malware products like McAfee, FireEye, etc.

  • 3+ years' experience with security incident response process and procedures

  • 3+ years' experience with information security best practices

  • CISSP or CISM is advantage

  • Cyber Security certification is a strong advantage

  • Experience with cyber security in industrial environment and from automotive as well as knowledge of German would be an advantage
