Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), F-15 International Organization is seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and collaborative Chief Systems Engineer (Level 4 / Level 5) to join Boeing in Berkeley, MO to support the F-15 International Office of the Chief Engineer. You will lead the Mission Computing Architecture development, which is a multi-platform effort, potential implementation platforms include F-15, T-7, and F-18.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Inspire and Lead: Provide visionary engineering leadership to a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration and creativity while engaging with customers and stakeholders to drive project success.

  • Technical Trailblazer: Take charge of technical and integration leadership, steering the development and execution of program plans with minimal direction. Your expertise will be crucial in navigating complex challenges and delivering exceptional results.

  • Architect of Solutions: Lead the planning, design, development, and verification of sophisticated lifecycle balanced systems. Your strategic thinking will ensure that our systems meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.

  • Adapt and Overcome: Respond proactively to changes in Prime Requirements, assessing impacts and negotiating modifications to deliverables, resources, costs, and schedules. Your agility will be key in maintaining project momentum.

  • Ensure Excellence: Take ownership of ensuring that all requirements are accurately allocated to sub-tier requirements. You will maintain traceability, ensuring that our systems meet rigorous standards.

  • Build Strategic Partnerships: Develop and nurture strong relationships with the United States Air Force (USAF) ensuring alignment and collaboration on key initiatives.

  • Manage Technical Baseline: Oversee the technical baseline, including configuration management, technical performance measures, and Risk Identification and Opportunity (RIO) assessments. Your attention to detail will be vital in maintaining system integrity.

  • Collaborate for Consistency: Work closely with platform system architects to ensure that the defined architecture aligns seamlessly with the overall platform roadmap, driving coherence and strategic direction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.

  • An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

  • 9+ years engineering experience with a Bachelor’s OR 7+ years with a Masters OR 4+ years with a PhD.

  • 3+ years of systems integration experience (Level 4) OR 5+ years of systems integration experience (Level 5)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Current active Secret U.S. Security Clearance

  • Experience with the F-15 platform.

  • 5+ years’ experience working on Avionics systems

  • 8+ years’ experience in developing Systems Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience working with DOORS for requirements management

  • Experience with architecture modeling tools (e.g. Rational System Architect, Rational Software Architect, MagicDraw, Cameo Enterprise Architecture)

  • Experiencing managing customer relationship

Typical Education/Experience:

Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Level 5: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range:

Level 4: $119,850 - $162,150

Level 5: $147,050 - $198,950
