Job Purpose

As a member of the Virtual Performance Engineering Department, you will be responsible to decide specifications and confirm requirements using CAE. Proficient use of CAE contributes to improved optimization, speed, and efficiency of our products and development processes.

Key Accountabilities

  • Decide action plan and utilize CAE tools to execute analysis for assigned specification setting and requirement confirmation activities
  • Collaborate with test and part design engineers and project chiefs to optimize specifications for performance, cost, and weight. Collaborate with and mentor other CAE Engineers for efficient and accurate joint CAE analysis.
  • Create documentation for specification and confirmation results and explain to direct supervisor

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • BS or higher in mechanical engineering
  • BS and 3-6 years of engineering experience or MS and 0-3 years of engineering experience.
  • Proficient with 1D CAE, 3D CAE, and programming language software such as ANSA, Hyperworks, Optistruct, Matlab, Python, and Excel VBA.
  • Experience with body-in-white local and global static and dynamic stiffness performance
  • Experience with vehicle suspension, brake, and electric power unit NVH CAE
  • Ability to breakdown complex concepts into simple summaries
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Workstyle

Work is primarily conducted at an office desk. Some time is spent at test facilities for collaboration.
Hybrid (office/home) work is available.
Travel and overtime are occasionally required.
