Driver Monitoring System (DMS) is an advanced safety feature that uses a camera to track driver drowsiness or distraction, and issue a warning or alert to get the drivers attention back to the task of driving. DMS solutions are expected to become a standard feature in new cars.
As the Software Engineer for Driver Monitoring Systems you will be actively involved in the software development and testing process.
Your role:
- Contribution to product development for the biggest automotive OEMs
- Collecting and analyzing SW requirements
- Programming SW modules
- Preparing SW design documentation
- Preparing and performing tests to verify SW work products
- Write robust and reusable high-level software code implementing driver monitoring features
- Software issue troubleshooting, problem solving, root cause analysis
- Ensure software quality goals are met
- Collaborate and effective communicate with global internal teams
Your Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (engineering, computer science, physics, or related field of study)
- 2+ years of experience writing software using C++
- Knowledge of Python (nice to have)
- Familiarity with software development processes (CI/CD) and tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Polarion, GIT, etc.)
- Ability to speak, to read and to write in English
- Problem-solving skills and ability to learn
- Nice to have: Automotive SPICE, experience with Linux and QNX, experience with computer vision and image processing
