Business Development Manager, Defense

The Business Development Manager is responsible for building relationships with new prime accounts for support of the DOD and FMS, developing platform projects within defense applications, and driving revenue of Dynapower's standard product offerings within DOE applications.

General Responsibilities
• Organizes new accounts within an established geographic territory/product line.
• Connect, contact, and engage new potential clients and prospects.
• Key participant in a strong and consistent pipeline of new business.
• Analyze customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services
• Collaborates on sales skills and knowledge of the organization's products, services, and customers
• Key participant in identifying and implementing efficiency opportunities such as distributor dashboards, etc.

Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

Additional Experience

  • Experience with Government sales or projects - preferably defense contracts

Travel

This position requires up to 50% domestic, overnight travel. Periodic international travel may be required. Remote employees will be expected to travel to company headquarters approximately once per quarter.

Base Salary Range:

$80,884.00 - $111,215.50
