Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate Intercompany Accountant to join the Intercompany Center of Excellence (COE) in Hazelwood, MO or Seattle, WA. 

The Intercompany COE is an exciting and dynamic organization that requires collaboration, engagement, and continuous development of process improvements.  This team utilizes BlackLine (cloud software that automates and controls financial close and accounting processes) to facilitate process automation and improvements for intercompany transactions, reconciliations, journal entries and other accounting processes throughout the enterprise.

Position Responsibilities Intercompany COE accountant:

  • Supporting system solutions by designing, building, testing and implementing new processes utilizing BlackLine tools including intercompany hub, automated journals and matching capabilities
  • System support including weekly and monthly tasks as well as maintaining proper documentation. 
  • Communication and collaboration with stakeholders throughout the project development, implementation and sustainment phases; stakeholders include subsidiaries, other accounting organizations, Finance Systems Analytics and Information Technology (IT)
  • Ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOx) and government regulations such as Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR), as applicable

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field
  • Work experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets
  • Experience with processes analysis, processes development and process improvement

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with finance and accounting systems and processes
  • Experience in finance or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementations
  • System development
  • Experience working with Enterprise Finance Business Intelligence (EFBI)/COGNOS or Enterprise Accounting System (EAS) query
  • Experience with BlackLine automation tools
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with Peoplesoft

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years' related work experience, 7 years' related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for Seattle, WA:  $66,300 - $89,700

Summary pay range for Hazelwood, MO:  $62,050 - $83,950
