Responsibilities:
The Assistant Parts Manager assists in the management of all Parts Department activities, ensuring exceptional customer service and the attainment of Lithia’s performance targets. This individual assists in the hiring, training and development of all Parts personnel. The Assistant Parts Manager serves as the liaison between the store and Support Services Fixed Operations, ensuring compliance to all company policies and procedures.
- Ensure employees are properly trained to meet department, store and customer needs.
- Develop staff by setting and communicating performance/production expectations, monitoring performance, identifying development needs, coaching and mentoring.
- Resolve customer requests, questions and concerns in a professional, friendly, and prompt manner.
- Ensure full compliance with all procedures, policies and rules regarding the maintenance of warranty parts as set by the manufacturer
- Ensure core, warranty, manufacturer and aftermarket parts returns are processed accurately, timely, and in full compliance with all policies and procedures
- Assure stocking levels are sufficient to meet customer demands.
- Inventory investment to produce 6-8 turns per year to ensure maximum return on investment and customer satisfaction.
- Utilize inventory reports to manage inventory levels daily. Identify areas not aligned with department goals and take action to resolve.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years automotive parts department experience
- Excellent Communication, Time Management and Basic Accounting skills.
- Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence

High School graduate or equivalent, 18 years or older required. Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence necessary for select roles.
