ADAS Group Program Manager

Job Description

Hybrid, reporting to a specific location where work needs to be performed / collaboration should happen (regardless this location is within a hub) and without regard to where a candidate lives (some employees may end up hybrid who live more than 50 miles away but where business needs dictate them to be onsite at a specific location three days per week).

  • This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Mountain ViewTechnical Center or Warren Technical Center (WTC) or Milford Proving Grounds (MPG) three times per week, at minimum

About the Role:

As the Lead Technical Program Manager for ADAS, your role entails overseeing strategic planning and executing technical and integrated SW milestones for the deployment of automated driving features. We're seeking someone with extensive program management expertise, adept at cross-functional leadership. RESPONSIBILITIES 

Responsible for executing individual programs and leading the program management team, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to create program strategies, and paving the way for profitable implementation of planned business activities. As a lead program manager, you will be expected to lead and mentor a team of program managers. 

Role Description 

  • Build and lead a team (6-8) of program managers 

  • Lead programs from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation 

  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and PMO ops to develop communication channels including dashboards and presentations 

  • Foster collaboration between cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution of program plans  

  • Analyze program status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that program objectives can be met 

  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on program status and changes 

  • Lead process creation and documentation for program-related activities 

  • Communicate program outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to program work plan

Additional Job Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications): 

  • 10+ years of project/program management or related experience 

  • 2+ years of team lead or people management experience 

  • Bachelor degree In Engineering, Business, Computer Science or related field 

  • Experience leading projects with technical and non-technical teams 

  • Experience defining, documenting, and providing guidance on processes 

  • Proven success working with all levels of management 

  • Experience developing and maintaining partnerships with third-party resources 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

  • Excellent presentation skills 

 

What will give you a competitive edge (Preferred Qualifications): 

  • MBA 

  • PMP Certification 

  • Experience managing enterprise software programs 

  • Experience administrating and configuring Jira, Azure DevOps or similar tools 

 

COMPENSATION: The median level of salary $172,900 to 264,800 compensation for this role is Annually
